The Madison Sweater is a classic v-neck, drop shoulder, boxy fit, textured sweater. Your classic, basic sweater that goes with everything and will last forever.
80% Locally sourced Peruvian Cotton/20% Acrylic. Machine wash cold, lay flat or hang to dry.
Proudly manufactured in the country of Peru. This sweater is made in a suburb of Lima in a small, family owned and operated workshop. We have chosen a locally sourced Peruvian yarn and export the goods directly to Twigg headquaraters in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This makes a short, direct circuit of production. Minimal waste and minimal carbon footprint.
Runs a bit small, size up recommended, especially if you are between sizes. Note: If you are normally an XS, but are above 5'2" size up to S or M for correct sleeve length, it will not be too large in the body. The XS in this style is meant for a petite fit, with shorter arm length.
If you order the Madison sweater in the pre-order it will ship mid to late February, maybe sooner.
I'm 5'2 on a good day and got the sweater in xs. It's true to size for me. I love the fit and can see myself wearing it over and over with many different things. I believe the xs is made shorter to fit petite bodies so I cannot wear this one with leggings. But I'll be getting the Isabelle Poncho for that when more colours come back in my size! Highly recommend Twigg sweaters!
I’m 5’3 wear a size medium, but I ordered the Madison sweater in Large I wanted the sweater a bit longer. Happy with the length and fit!
I am 5’2” and a small on Twigg. Love this particular style so much that I have 4 of it in small. It fits perfectly. V neck is not too low. Love that it is versatile enough to pair with jeans, midi skirts or even leggings (on petites). It has a relaxed fit and sits at the hips on me. It is a shorter style of a sweater but not cropped, which I like. Love the colour selection as well... I have the livelier colours like cinnamon and mustard and the neutrals like ivory and light grey. It is a well crafted sweater indeed.
I have been trying to brighten up my winter wardrobe - come February dark colours really affect my mood. I am so glad I bought the Madison in cinnamon as it is such a gorgeous colour - it's fun but muted, so it actually acts sort of like a neutral. The cotton yarn means it will actually be a solid layer for transition months in the maritimes as winter seems to linger for longer here. It is a really beautiful sweater and I highly recommend trying (anything!!) in cinnamon.
I have two of these (one from a previous season)...its so good, comfy and looks super stylish.
